Happy Father's Day Daddy

I know you are all looking at your calendars - LOL! Jon found out about a really great deal at the Six Flags Great Escape Lodge and indoor water park at Lake George, NY for Father's Day weekend and he booked it today. We get a room and 2 days of fun at the water park (from noon Saturday thru 2pm Sunday) for $150 - the rooms alone usually go for over $250 never mind the tickets to the water park! It is a special Scout Weekend with a discount for all scouters that weekend. It was truly too good a deal to pass up.

First of many busy weekends

Jon had the boys most of the day Saturday so I could get some work done. In the morning he took them to McDonald's for breakfast and playtime at thier indoor play area. The boys love it there and had a blast. Next they headed to Windsor Locks to check on some things at Dad/Dziadzius house and then a trip to the playground down the street from his house.

Today we had a houseful with my mom's group's annual Easter Party and egg hunt. Thank goodness the rain held off (and actually still has not arrived at 9:15pm) and we were able to have a succesful outdoor egg hunt. It was a fun party and the boys enjoyed having other kids around.

Next weekend is Easter and a visit from Papa & Memere (with rumors that Uncle Anthony will be here too - YAY!). The following weekend we head to MA on Saturday and fly to FL on Sunday and the weekend after is the reverse.

Disney planning

Getting more and more excited for our trip. Tonight we hashed out our schedule for the week and booked our table service meals (we are using a meal plan where we get 6 for the week). Trying out some new to us restaurants. Sunday 4/11/10 we land in FL at 2:30pm, no reservations - the kids will be done with sitting for too long after the traveling. Monday no reservations but we will have friends joining us for the day at Magic Kingdom. Tuesday we have an early lunch a Coral Reef (seafood) in Epcot and an early dinner at Kouzzina (Greek) on the Boardwalk - hopefully giving us enough time to get back to Epcot for the evening show Illuminations. Wednesday is Animal Kingdom and dinner at Yak & Yeti (Asian). Thursday is MGM / Hollywood Studios and our first character meal, lunch at Play N Dine at Hollywood N Vine (Playhouse Disney characters). Friday is back to Magic Kingdom at breakfast, another character meal at The Crystal Palace (Winnie the Pooh and friends) and then dinner at Downtown Disney's Wolfgang Puck Cafe and spending the evening checking out the shops (no doubt much time will be spent at the Lego store!). We fly home at 10am Saturday morning.

It will be a whirlwind but it will be so much fun too! REMINDER - this trip is a suprise for the boys - so SHHH!

6 years old

Jon took Nicholas for his 6 year check up today. He is, as expected, healthy. Measuring 46.5" tall. They checked his hearing and eyesight - both perfect. It was nice to have a neutral party reiterate to Nicholas that he needs to hold our hands in parking lots and that he needs to wear his helmet when riding his bike. He was not too thrilled with the finger prick blood test - LOL!
